The Louisiana Association of School Business Officials (LASBO) is a non-profit professional association of school administrators whose primary skills and services are in the business and operations functions of the schools. LASBO provides for the opportunity in sharing common ideas, problems and solutions related to school business issues.

In 1993, LASBO initiated a certification program which ensures school business employees the opportunity to grow through professional development. To date, 426 LASBO members have been certified and 225 are active certificate holders.

LASBO was formed in October 1965 and has over 500 members.


  • To provide the means whereby those engaged in the business administration of schools in Louisiana can meet and discuss and study all phases of school business administration.
  • To cooperate with other organizations for the betterment of public education.
  • To strive constantly for the highest standards of ethics, efficiency and economy in business methods and practices.
  • To work for the improvement of qualifications of school business officials.
